RunSpecGuard provides an AI fitment assistant that runs on merchants' own e-commerce storefronts. This notice explains what we handle and what we deliberately do not.
RunSpecGuard operates the service and acts as a service provider to the merchant. For contact details submitted through a callback form, the merchant is the controller and decides how they are used. Questions about this notice: support@runspecguard.com.
| Data | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Text of a question typed into the assistant | To answer it and to review quality and abuse | 180 days by default (configurable) |
| Aggregate counters (questions asked, answered, blocked) | To show the merchant how their assistant is performing | Retained while the service is active |
| IP address | Rate limiting and abuse prevention | Not stored in the question log |
| Callback form details (name, phone and/or email, message, consent) | So the merchant can follow up | Held by the merchant, under their own policy |
We do not collect payment-card data and have no access to merchant orders.
Question text may be processed by the infrastructure and model providers that operate the service on our behalf, solely to produce an answer. We do not transfer personal data to any other third party, and we disclose data to authorities only where legally required.
Each merchant has a separate instance with its own storage. One merchant's data is never used to answer questions for another, and no shared knowledge base spans merchants.
If you are a shopper who used an assistant, contact the merchant first — callback details are held by them. You may also write to support@runspecguard.com and we will help route or handle the request for data we control.
We may update this notice; the date above will change and material changes will be notified to merchants by email.
